Setup
Before first use, ensure all removable parts (lid, cooking bowl, stirring paddle) are thoroughly cleaned with warm, soapy water and dried. Place the ActiFry on a stable, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit. Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions
- Prepare Food: Place your desired food items into the cooking bowl. For best results, ensure food is cut into uniform pieces.
- Add Oil: Measure a tablespoon or less of cooking oil using the provided spoon (if applicable) and drizzle it over the food. The ActiFry is designed for minimal oil use.
- Close Lid: Securely close the transparent lid.
- Set Time: Use the digital countdown timer to set the desired cooking duration. Refer to the cooking guide in your recipe book or the appliance's surface for recommended times for various foods.
- Start Cooking: Press the On/Off button to begin the cooking process. The stirring paddle will automatically rotate to ensure even cooking.
- Monitor Progress: The transparent lid allows you to visually monitor the cooking progress.
- Pause/Stop: To pause cooking and open the lid, press the grey button on the side of the unit. The stirring paddle will stop. Close the lid and press the On/Off button to resume.
- Serve: Once cooking is complete and the buzzer sounds, carefully open the lid and remove the cooked food.

Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your T-Fal ActiFry. The cooking bowl, stirring paddle, and lid are designed for easy removal and are dishwasher safe. For the main unit, wipe it down with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly and storage.
Troubleshooting
- Unit Not Turning On: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the appliance and a working electrical outlet. Check if the lid is properly closed and latched.
- Food Not Cooking Evenly: Ensure the stirring paddle is correctly installed and rotating freely. Do not overload the cooking bowl; adhere to the maximum capacity of 2.2 lb.
- Timer Not Stopping Fryer: The digital timer is primarily for notification. Always monitor food visually, especially towards the end of the cooking cycle. Manually press the On/Off button to stop cooking if needed.
- Lid Not Closing Completely: Check for any food debris or obstructions around the lid's hinge or sealing area. Ensure the cooking bowl and stirring paddle are correctly seated.
