1. Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and effective use of your Nerf Rival Hera MXVII-1200 blaster. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and operation. Retain this manual for future reference.

The Nerf Rival Hera MXVII-1200 is a motorized, semi-automatic blaster designed for high-impact foam dart battles, featuring a 12-round capacity magazine and high-velocity performance.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: To avoid injury, use only official Nerf Rival rounds. Do not modify rounds or blaster. Always wear eye protection when using this product. Do not aim at eyes or face. Adult supervision recommended.

  • Always wear eye protection (not included) when operating the blaster.
  • Do not aim or fire at people or animals at close range.
  • Use only official Nerf Rival rounds. Other rounds may not function correctly or could cause damage.
  • Keep fingers and other objects away from the firing mechanism and round exit port.
  • Do not modify the blaster or its rounds.
  • Not suitable for children under 14 years.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The Nerf Rival Hera MXVII-1200 requires 4 C batteries (not included) or a Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack (sold separately).

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the blaster, typically on the handle or stock.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 4 new C batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.
  5. Alternatively, if using the Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack, follow its specific installation instructions.

Note: For optimal performance and reduced weight, consider purchasing the Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack.

4.2 Loading the Magazine

  1. Ensure the blaster is unloaded and the safety switch is engaged (if applicable).
  2. Take the 12-round magazine.
  3. Insert the Nerf Rival High-Impact Rounds into the magazine one by one, pushing them down until they click into place. Do not overfill.
  4. Once loaded, insert the magazine into the blaster's magazine well until it locks securely.

5. Operating the Blaster

5.1 Powering On and Firing

  1. Ensure eye protection is worn.
  2. With the loaded magazine inserted, locate the acceleration trigger (usually a small button or lever near the main trigger).
  3. Press and hold the acceleration trigger to power on the motor. You will hear the motor rev up.
  4. While holding the acceleration trigger, pull the main trigger to fire a round. The Hera MXVII-1200 is semi-automatic, meaning one round is fired per pull of the main trigger.
  5. Release the acceleration trigger when not actively firing to conserve battery life.

5.2 Magazine Release

To remove the magazine for reloading or storage:

  1. Locate the magazine release button, typically near the base of the magazine well.
  2. Press the magazine release button and pull the magazine downwards to remove it.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

  • Wipe the blaster exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Do not submerge the blaster in water.
  • Ensure no dirt or debris enters the firing mechanism or magazine well.

6.2 Storage

  • Remove batteries from the blaster if it will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
  • Store the blaster and rounds in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting
