Model: KC-80 | Brand: BOSS
Introduction
For over two decades, keyboard players everywhere have relied on Roland’s KC amps for their powerful high-fidelity sound, onboard mixing features, versatile connectivity, and lasting durability. The latest generation carries on the time-honored KC benchmark of quality while offering new enhancements tuned for the needs of today’s working musicians. With a KC amp by your side, you’re in complete control of your stage rig, so you’ll always sound great and play your best. The 50-watt KC-80 is a miniature powerhouse with three line input channels, a dedicated aux input, and support for an XLR vocal mic. Compared to the previous-generation KC-60, the power section has been completely redesigned for higher output, better stability, and enhanced bass reproduction. In addition, the 10-inch woofer has been upgraded for improved sound quality. If desired, the low-end performance can be extended by driving a powered subwoofer from the KC-80’s Sub Out jack.

Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off
Turn on the KC-80 by pressing the POWER switch after all connections are made. To turn off, press the POWER switch again. Always turn off the amplifier before disconnecting any cables.
2. Adjusting Volume Levels
Each input channel (CH1, CH2, CH3, AUX IN) has its own volume knob. Adjust these to balance the levels of your connected instruments and microphone. The MASTER knob controls the overall output volume of the amplifier.
3. Using the Equalizer
The KC-80 features a 2-band equalizer with HIGH and LOW controls. Adjust these knobs to shape the overall tone of your sound. Turn the HIGH knob clockwise to boost treble frequencies for a brighter sound, or counter-clockwise to reduce them. Similarly, use the LOW knob to adjust bass frequencies for more warmth or clarity.
4. Headphone Use
Plug standard stereo headphones into the PHONES jack for private monitoring. When headphones are connected, the main speaker output will be muted.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the amplifier, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as these can damage the finish and internal components.
Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the amplifier in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to cover the unit to protect it from dust.
Ventilation
Ensure that the ventilation openings on the amplifier are not blocked. Proper airflow is crucial for preventing internal component damage due to heat buildup.
