The Ultimate Ears BOOM 2 is a 360-degree wireless speaker designed to deliver loud, immersive sound with deep, powerful bass in every direction. Built for adventure, it is waterproof and shockproof, making it suitable for various environments. Setup

Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge your BOOM 2 speaker. Connect the speaker to a power source using the provided charging cable. The LED indicator will show charging status.

Powering On/Off

To power on the speaker, press the power button located on the top of the speaker. Press and hold the same button to power off.

Bluetooth Pairing

The BOOM 2 speaker is designed for wireless Bluetooth connectivity. Follow these steps to pair your device:

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on.
2. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the speaker until you hear a tone and the LED flashes rapidly.
3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings and select "UE BOOM 2" from the list of available devices.
4. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone from the speaker.

The speaker can pair with up to 8 Bluetooth-enabled devices and connect to two source devices simultaneously. The mobile range of play is up to 100 ft (33m).

Operating Instructions

Adjusting Volume

The large '+' and '-' symbols on the side of the speaker are the volume controls. Press '+' to increase volume and '-' to decrease volume.

PartyUp Feature

Utilize the PartyUp feature via the BOOM & MEGABOOM App to connect multiple Ultimate Ears speakers for a synchronized audio experience. You can connect 2, 3, 4, or even over 150 speakers, including BOOM 3, MEGABOOM 3, and previous generation BOOM and MEGABOOM models, to create an ultimate surround sound setup.

Voice Integration

The BOOM 2 supports Siri and Google Now voice integration. Simply use voice commands to control your music without needing to reach for your phone.

Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your BOOM 2 speaker, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these may damage the speaker's finish or waterproof sealing. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed before cleaning with water.

Battery Care

The rechargeable battery provides up to 15 hours of playback on a single charge. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the speaker frequently and store it in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

• No Power: Ensure the speaker is charged. Connect it to a power source and allow it to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on again.
• Bluetooth Pairing Issues:
  • Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (flashing Bluetooth LED).
  • Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
  • Move your device closer to the speaker (within 100 ft / 33m).
  • Forget "UE BOOM 2" from your device's Bluetooth settings and try pairing again.
  • Restart both the speaker and your device.
• Sound Quality Issues:
  • Ensure the volume on both the speaker and your connected device is turned up.
  • Check for obstructions between the speaker and your device.
  • If using PartyUp, ensure all speakers are within range and properly connected via the app.
• Water Damage Concern: The speaker is IPX7 rated, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. If submerged for longer or deeper, allow it to dry completely before use. Ensure the charging port cover is sealed.
