This automatic machine prepares a variety of hot beverages, including espresso, filtered coffee, cappuccino, and teas, using a unique capsule system. It features multi-pressure extraction up to 15 bar, ensuring optimal flavor, and a quick preparation time of approximately 30 seconds. The Mimo S24 also includes a removable long drink cup support and a retro-wash capsule for easy internal cleaning.

4. Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the coffee maker and all accessories from the packaging. Retain packaging for future transport or storage.
2. Placement: Place the appliance on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.
3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Wash the water reservoir, drip tray, and used capsule container with warm soapy water, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
4. Fill Water Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX level indicated. Do not use hot water or other liquids.
5. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The machine will enter standby mode.
6. First Rinse Cycle:
   • Place a large container (at least 200ml) under the dispensing nozzle.
   • Press any brew button to start a rinse cycle without a capsule. This primes the system and cleans internal components.
   • Repeat this process 2-3 times until clear water flows out.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Preparing a Beverage

1. Power On: Ensure the machine is plugged in and the power indicator light is on. If not, press the power button.
2. Fill Water Reservoir: Check that the water reservoir has sufficient water. Refill if necessary.
3. Insert Capsule: Lift the lever to open the capsule compartment. Insert a Tres Corações capsule into the slot. Close the lever firmly until it clicks.
4. Place Cup: Place your desired cup or mug on the drip tray. For taller cups, the drip tray can be removed.
5. Select Beverage: Press the appropriate brew button for your desired beverage (e.g., Espresso, Filtered Coffee, Cappuccino). The machine will automatically start brewing.

6. Completion: The machine will stop automatically once the brewing cycle is complete.
7. Capsule Ejection: Lift the lever again to eject the used capsule into the internal container. Close the lever.

5.2 Automatic Shut-off

The Mimo S24 coffee maker is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature to save energy. The machine will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity. To reactivate, simply press any button.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your coffee maker. Always unplug the machine before cleaning.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

• Drip Tray and Used Capsule Container: Empty and rinse the drip tray and used capsule container daily with warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly.
• Water Reservoir: Empty any remaining water from the reservoir. Rinse it with fresh water and refill for the next use.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Internal Cleaning (Retro-wash Capsule)

The Mimo S24 comes with a special retro-wash capsule for easy internal system cleaning.

1. Ensure the water reservoir is filled.
2. Place a large container under the dispensing nozzle.
3. Insert the retro-wash capsule into the capsule compartment.
4. Press the blue cleaning button (or the largest brew button, depending on model variation) and let the machine run until the water reservoir is empty.
5. Remove and clean the retro-wash capsule for future use.

6.3 Descaling

Depending on water hardness, descaling should be performed every 3-6 months. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling product.
