1. Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the FANMIS Digital Multifunction Sports Watch, Model 1266. This watch features a digital display, multiple functions including alarm, stopwatch, and calendar, and is designed for sports and daily use with 50-meter water resistance and an EL backlight for visibility in low light conditions.

The watch operates on a Quartz movement and is powered by one LR44 battery (included). Its durable silicone strap and polycarbonate case ensure longevity and comfort.

2. Button Functions

The FANMIS Digital Watch Model 1266 has four primary buttons:

  • LIGHT (Top Left): Activates the EL backlight for viewing in dark conditions.
  • MODE (Bottom Left): Cycles through different modes: Time Display, Stopwatch, Alarm, and Time Setting.
  • START (Top Right): Used to start/stop the stopwatch, adjust values during setting, or turn on/off alarm/chime.
  • RESET (Bottom Right): Used to reset the stopwatch, select items during setting, or confirm settings.

3. Initial Setup: Setting Time and Date

  1. From the normal time display mode, press the MODE button three times until the seconds begin to flash. This indicates you are in time setting mode.
  2. Press the RESET button to cycle through the settings: seconds, hours, minutes, month, date, day of the week. The currently adjustable value will flash.
  3. Use the START button to increase the flashing value. Hold START to rapidly advance the numbers.
  4. Once all desired settings (seconds, hours, minutes, month, date, day) are adjusted, press the MODE button once to exit the setting mode and return to the normal time display.

The watch supports both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats. When setting the hour, pressing START will cycle between AM/PM (for 12-hour format) and the 24-hour format.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Using the EL Backlight

To illuminate the watch face in low light conditions, press the LIGHT button (top left). The backlight will activate for a few seconds.

4.2. Stopwatch Function

  1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button once to enter Stopwatch mode. The display will show "00:00:00".
  2. Press the START button to begin timing.
  3. Press the START button again to pause timing.
  4. While paused, press the RESET button to clear the stopwatch to "00:00:00".
  5. Press the MODE button to return to the normal time display.

4.3. Alarm Setting

  1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button twice to enter Alarm mode. The display will show the alarm time.
  2. Press the RESET button to select the hour or minute to set. The selected value will flash.
  3. Use the START button to adjust the flashing hour or minute.
  4. Press the MODE button to exit alarm setting mode.

4.4. Turning Alarm and Chime On/Off

  • In Alarm mode (press MODE twice), press the START button to toggle the alarm on or off. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
  • In normal time display mode, press and hold the RESET button, then press the MODE button to toggle the hourly chime on or off. A chime icon will appear/disappear.

5. Maintenance and Care

  • Water Resistance: This watch is rated for 50 meters (5 ATM) water resistance. It is suitable for daily use, hand washing, rain, and short periods of swimming. Do not press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water. Avoid hot water or steam, as this can compromise the seals.
  • Cleaning: Clean the watch with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Replacement: The watch uses one LR44 battery. When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure water resistance is maintained.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for extended periods.

6. Troubleshooting
