Product Overview

The ASTRO Kimono Storage Case system is crafted from breathable non-woven fabric, which is ideal for preventing moisture and odors from accumulating. Both the main case and the individual storage bags are made from a thick, durable material, ensuring long-lasting protection for your garments.

  • Dust and Dirt Protection: The non-woven fabric effectively shields your kimonos and accessories from environmental dust and dirt.
  • Breathable Material: Designed to allow air circulation, minimizing moisture buildup and unpleasant odors.
  • Durable Construction: The case features a robust 3-layer structure, and the bags are made from tear-resistant material, offering superior protection compared to traditional paper storage.
  • Easy Handling: The storage bags are lighter and softer than traditional 'tatoushi' paper, making them easier to manage.

Setup and Usage

  1. Prepare Kimonos: Fold each kimono or yukata neatly.

  3. Load into Case: Open the main storage case using its double-zip fasteners, which open on three sides for easy access. Carefully place the filled storage bags into the case. The case can hold approximately 3-4 kimonos or 1 kimono with an obi and other small Japanese accessories.
  4. Utilize Pockets:
    • Small Item Pocket: A pocket on the inside lid of the case allows for convenient storage of smaller Japanese accessories.
    • Moth Repellent Pockets: Two pockets are located inside the case for inserting moth repellent agents (not included).
    • Name Holder: An external name holder on the case allows you to label the contents without needing to open it, simplifying organization.
  5. Secure Storage: Close the double-zip fasteners on the main case to secure your garments.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your ASTRO Kimono Storage Case or bags, please consider the following:

  • Odor: Ensure garments are clean and dry before storage. The breathable fabric helps, but strong odors from garments may persist.
  • Damage: While durable, avoid overfilling the case or bags, which can stress seams and zippers.
  • Pest Control: Always use appropriate moth repellent agents in the designated pockets for optimal protection against pests.
