Setup and Installation
This showerhead is designed for easy DIY installation with a ½-inch pipe connection. However, for optimal results and to ensure compliance with all plumbing codes, professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.
- Prepare the Installation Area: Ensure the main water supply to your shower is turned off. Remove any existing showerhead and clean the shower arm threads.
- Apply Thread Sealant: Apply plumber's tape (PTFE tape) or thread sealant to the threads of your shower arm. Wrap the tape clockwise around the threads 3-4 times.
- Attach the Showerhead: Carefully thread the hansgrohe Raindance Classic showerhead onto the shower arm. Hand-tighten first, then use an adjustable wrench to tighten an additional ¼ to ½ turn. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the connections.
- Check for Leaks: Turn the main water supply back on and check for any leaks around the connection point. If leaks occur, tighten slightly more or reapply thread sealant.

Note: This showerhead requires a showerpipe basic set (e.g., No. 16181181) for certain installations. A 9-inch Raindance shower arm (#27422001) is also recommended for optimal positioning.
Operating Instructions
The hansgrohe Raindance Classic showerhead features a single, luxurious spray mode: RainAir.
- RainAir Spray Mode: This mode utilizes hansgrohe's Airpower technology, which enriches water droplets with air. This creates a softer, fuller, and more voluminous spray that feels gentle on the skin while reducing water consumption.
- Water Flow: The showerhead is low-flow compliant, delivering water at a rate of 2.0 gallons per minute (GPM).

To operate, simply turn on your shower's water supply. The showerhead will immediately begin dispensing water in the RainAir spray mode.
