4. Setup and Installation

The cork board can be installed either vertically or horizontally. A mounting kit is included for installation.

4.1. Tools Required (Not Included)

• Drill
• Drill bits appropriate for wall anchors
• Pencil
• Measuring tape
• Level
• Screwdriver

4.2. Mounting Instructions

1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location. Ensure there are no electrical wires or water pipes behind the drilling points.
2. Mark Holes: Hold the board against the wall in the desired vertical or horizontal orientation. Use a pencil to mark the positions for the four mounting holes, located at each corner of the frame.

4. Insert Anchors: Gently tap the wall anchors into the drilled holes until they are flush with the wall surface.
5. Mount Board: Align the board's corner holes with the installed wall anchors. Insert the screws through the board's frame and into the wall anchors. Tighten the screws until the board is securely fastened to the wall. Do not overtighten.
6. Attach Corner Caps: Once the board is securely mounted, place the decorative corner caps over the screws to conceal them and provide a finished look.

5. Operation

6. Maintenance

• Cork Condition: While the cork is self-healing, excessive use of pins in the same spot may eventually wear down the material. Rotate pin locations to prolong the board's life.
• Frame Inspection: Periodically check the frame and mounting hardware to ensure they remain secure.

7.1. Board is not securely mounted.

7.2. Pins do not hold items firmly.

• Solution: Ensure you are using standard pushpins or thumbtacks with sufficient length. Avoid pinning excessively thick or heavy items. If the cork surface appears worn in specific areas, try pinning in a different spot.
