Model: ALB-WR02X12208-6PK

1. Product Overview

This manual provides instructions for the installation and maintenance of UpStart Components replacement light bulbs. These bulbs are designed as direct replacements for various GE refrigerator models, ensuring compatibility and reliable illumination.

Each package contains 6 replacement light bulbs, engineered with superior-crafted filaments for long-lasting brightness and quality glass to ensure they arrive in factory condition.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Always disconnect power to the appliance before attempting to replace any light bulb. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock or personal injury.

  • Ensure your hands are dry before handling electrical components.
  • Allow old bulbs to cool completely before removal to prevent burns.
  • Do not overtighten the new bulb.
  • Dispose of old bulbs responsibly according to local regulations.
  • These bulbs are for indoor appliance use only.

3. Installation (Replacement)

Follow these steps to safely replace the light bulb in your compatible GE appliance:

  1. Disconnect Power: Unplug the appliance from the power outlet or turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the appliance.
  2. Locate Bulb: Open the appliance door and locate the light bulb(s) that need replacement.
  3. Remove Cover (if applicable): Some appliances may have a protective cover over the light bulb. Carefully remove this cover, often by unscrewing or unlatching it. Refer to your appliance's specific user manual if unsure.
  4. Remove Old Bulb: Gently unscrew the old bulb counter-clockwise until it is free from the socket. Be careful if the bulb is broken or hot.
  5. Insert New Bulb: Take one of the UpStart Components replacement bulbs. Align the base of the new bulb with the socket and gently screw it in clockwise until it is snug. Do not overtighten.
  6. Replace Cover (if applicable): Reattach any protective covers that were removed in step 3.
  7. Restore Power: Plug the appliance back into the power outlet or turn on the circuit breaker.
  8. Test: Open the appliance door to confirm the new light bulb illuminates.

4. Operation

Once installed, the light bulb will operate automatically with your appliance's internal lighting system. It will illuminate when the appliance door is opened and turn off when the door is closed.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: If the bulb or its housing becomes dusty, disconnect power to the appliance and gently wipe the bulb with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the bulb.
  • Handling: Avoid touching the glass part of the bulb with bare hands, as oils from your skin can reduce bulb life. Use a clean cloth or gloves when handling.
  • Replacement: Replace bulbs as needed when they burn out or dim significantly.

6. Troubleshooting

Bulb Does Not Light Up

  • Check Power: Ensure the appliance is properly plugged in and receiving power. Check the circuit breaker.
  • Bulb Seating: Verify the bulb is screwed in tightly and correctly into the socket. Unscrew and re-screw it to ensure proper contact.
  • Socket Condition: Inspect the bulb socket for any visible damage or corrosion. If damaged, professional repair may be required.
  • Appliance Door Switch: Confirm the appliance door switch is functioning correctly. The light should turn on when the door is opened.
  • Try Another Bulb: If you have multiple bulbs, try a different new bulb to rule out a defective bulb.
