3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover located at the bottom of the camera.
  2. Insert the Li-ion battery NP-W126S with the correct orientation.
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Memory Card Insertion

  1. Open the memory card slot cover on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert an SDXC memory card into the single slot until it clicks into place.
  3. Close the memory card slot cover.

3.3 Lens Attachment

  1. Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear cap from the lens.
  2. Align the white dot on the lens with the white dot on the camera body.
  3. Attach the lens by rotating it clockwise until it clicks into place.

4. Basic Operation

4.1 Power On/Off

To power on the camera, slide the ON/OFF switch located on the top plate. To power off, slide the switch back to the OFF position.

4.2 Shooting Modes

The X-E3 supports various shooting modes, including Aperture Priority, Automatic, and Manual. These can be selected using the dedicated dials and controls on the camera body.

4.3 Autofocus System

The camera features a Hybrid Autofocus system with 325 autofocus points. You can select from Continuous-Servo AF (C), Manual Focus (M), or Single-servo AF (S) modes. The joystick on the rear of the camera allows for precise selection of the autofocus point.

4.4 Touchscreen Control

The 3-inch LCD touchscreen supports gesture control, including flick and pinch zoom. You can also use touch focus and touch shooting functions for intuitive operation.
