To ensure the longevity and accurate performance of your ELING Voltmeter, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the gauge face with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the lens or housing.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion. Inspect the gauge for any signs of physical damage.
  • Environmental Protection: While the gauge is waterproof and anti-fogging, extreme environmental conditions can still affect its lifespan. Ensure it is installed in a location protected from direct, prolonged exposure to harsh elements if possible.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your voltmeter, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Display/No Power:
    • Check all wiring connections (Red to positive, Blue to ground) for looseness or incorrect polarity.
    • Verify the power source is providing voltage within the 16-32V operating range.
    • Check for blown fuses in the power circuit.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Ensure the gauge is receiving stable power and ground connections.
    • Confirm the voltage of your system with a separate, calibrated multimeter to compare readings.
  • Backlight Not Working:
    • Check the connection of the Orange wire to the positive power source.
    • Ensure the power source for the backlight is active.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact ELING customer support for further assistance.
