1. Introduction
This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your ELING KM GPS Speedometer Odometer. This device is designed for use in various vehicles including automotive, marine, and truck applications, providing accurate speed and odometer readings via GPS signal. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use.
2. Safety Information
- Always disconnect the vehicle's power supply before performing any electrical work.
- Ensure all wiring connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent short circuits.
- Installation should ideally be performed by a qualified professional.
- Do not cut the GPS antenna cable.
- Ensure the gauge is securely mounted to prevent movement during vehicle operation.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all items are present in the package:
- 1 x ELING KM GPS Speedometer Odometer
- 1 x GPS Antenna
- 1 x Wiring Harness
- 1 x M4 Nut and C-type Bracket
- 1 x Instruction Manual

4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Gauge Installation
- Panel Preparation: Cut an 85mm (3 3/8") diameter hole in the mounting panel. Ensure a clearance of at least 70mm (2 3/4") behind the panel to accommodate the gauge.
- Insert Gauge: Carefully insert the gauge into the prepared hole in the panel.
- Secure Gauge: Use the provided M4 nut and C-type bracket to securely fasten the gauge from behind the panel. Tighten the nuts until the gauge is firm.

4.2 GPS Antenna Installation
For optimal performance, the GPS antenna requires a clear view of the sky to acquire satellite signals. Follow these guidelines:
- Placement: Securely fasten the GPS antenna in a flat position with the black side facing upwards.
- Location: Ideally, place the antenna outside the vehicle or inside the front windscreen. Avoid obstructions that could block the satellite signal.
- Connection: Connect the antenna cable to the designated socket on the back of the gauge. Do not cut or modify the antenna cable.
4.3 Wiring Connections
Refer to the wiring diagram below for proper electrical connections. The gauge operates on a 9-32VDC power supply.

| Wire Color | Function |
|---|---|
| Red | +9-32VDC (Power) |
| Black | Negative (-) |
| Orange | Backlight (+) |
| Blue | Ground (-) |
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Power On and GPS Signal Acquisition
After connecting all wires and applying power, the meter will automatically begin searching for a GPS signal. The initial signal acquisition may take approximately 30 seconds. Subsequent power-ons will typically acquire a signal in less than 3 seconds, especially under a clear view of the sky.
5.2 Display Information
The gauge displays the following information:
- Current Speed: Indicated by the needle and digital display.
- ODO (Odometer): Displays the total accumulated distance. This value cannot be reset.
- COG (Course Over Ground): Represents the direction of travel relative to the ground, displayed digitally.

7. Troubleshooting
- "Err" Display or No GPS Signal: If the gauge displays "Err" or fails to acquire a GPS signal after approximately 300 seconds (5 minutes), it indicates a problem with GPS signal reception or loss.
- Signal Loss Resolution: Reconnect all wiring, especially the GPS antenna cable, and restart the unit. Ensure the GPS antenna has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky.
- Power Issues: If the gauge does not power on, verify that the power connections (Red and Black wires) are correctly connected to a 9-32VDC source and ground, respectively. Check for blown fuses in the vehicle's electrical system.
8. Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the gauge's display and housing with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
- Environmental Protection: While the gauge is waterproof, ensure all connections are properly sealed and protected from excessive moisture or direct water spray to prolong its lifespan.
- Inspection: Periodically check all wiring and mounting hardware for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion.
