3. Setup

Unpacking and Placement:

  1. Remove all packaging materials and any promotional labels from the oven.
  2. Place the oven on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance on all sides and above the oven for proper ventilation.
  3. Do not place the oven near the edge of a countertop or near flammable materials such as curtains or walls.
  4. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or touching any hot surfaces.

Initial Cleaning:

Before first use, wipe down the interior and exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Wash all accessories (wire rack, baking pan, pizza pan) in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

First Use Burn-Off:

It is recommended to run the oven empty for approximately 15 minutes on the BAKE function at 400°F (200°C) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this process; this is normal. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.

4. Operating Instructions

The De'Longhi Premium Digital Convection Oven offers eight preset cooking functions for ease of use. The control panel consists of a digital display and three control knobs.

Control Panel Overview:

General Operation:

  1. Plug In: Connect the oven to a grounded electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
  2. Select Function: Rotate the top knob to select your desired cooking function (e.g., BAKE, ROAST, BROIL, CONVECTION, PIZZA, COOKIES, KEEP WARM, TOAST). The default temperature and time for that function will appear on the display.
  3. Adjust Settings: Rotate the middle knob to adjust the temperature. Press the middle knob to switch to time adjustment, then rotate to set the desired cooking time.
  4. Start Cooking: Press the bottom knob (Start/Stop) to begin the cooking cycle. The oven will preheat if necessary, and the timer will begin counting down.
  5. Monitor Progress: Use the internal light to check on your food.
  6. End Cooking: The oven will beep when the cooking cycle is complete and automatically shut off. You can also press the Start/Stop knob at any time to stop cooking.
