5. Setup

5.1 Mounting the Camera

Choose a suitable location for mounting the camera, ensuring it provides the desired field of view and is within reach of power and video cables. The camera's metal housing and IP66 rating make it ideal for outdoor installation.

  1. Secure the mounting bracket to a wall or ceiling using appropriate screws and anchors (not included).
  2. Adjust the camera angle as needed using the adjustable bracket. Tighten all screws to secure the camera in position.

5.2 Wiring and Connectivity

The camera requires a 12V DC power supply and a coaxial video cable for connection to a compatible DVR.

  1. Connect the 12V DC power adapter to the camera's power input port.
  2. Connect one end of the coaxial video cable (BNC connector) to the camera's video output port.
  3. Connect the other end of the coaxial video cable to the video input port on your DVR.

5.3 Video Mode Switching

This 4-in-1 camera supports multiple video output modes: 1080P HD-TVI, 1080P HDCVI, 2.0MP AHD, and 960H (CVBS). You can switch between modes using the OSD button located on the camera's cable.

  • To switch modes, press and hold the OSD button for approximately 3-5 seconds until the video mode changes.
  • Refer to the label on the cable for the specific sequence of modes (e.g., AHD, CVI, TVI, CVBS).
  • Ensure the selected mode matches the input type supported by your DVR.

6.1 Day/Night Vision

The camera automatically switches between day (color) and night (black and white infrared) modes based on ambient light conditions. The built-in IR-cut filter ensures accurate color during the day and enhanced clarity in low-light or no-light conditions.

6.2 OSD Menu Adjustments

The camera features an On-Screen Display (OSD) menu for advanced image adjustments. To access the OSD menu, briefly press the OSD button on the camera's cable. Use the button to navigate and select options:

  • Press: Enter/Confirm selection.
  • Hold (short): Move cursor/change value.
  • Hold (long): Exit menu.

Adjustments available typically include:

  • Day/Night mode settings
  • White Balance (Auto/Manual)
  • Gain Control
  • Noise Reduction (3DNR)
