1. Introduction

4. Setup (Installation)

Professional installation is recommended. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before proceeding.

1. Prepare for Installation: Turn off the main power supply to the junction box at the circuit breaker. Clear the work area and gather necessary tools (screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, safety glasses).
2. Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the junction box in the ceiling using the provided screws. Ensure the bracket is firmly attached and level.
3. Make Electrical Connections:
   • Connect the bare copper ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (usually bare copper or green) using a wire nut.
   • Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box using a wire nut.
   • Ensure all connections are secure and insulated with electrical tape if necessary.
4. Mount the Fixture Body: Carefully push the wired fixture body up towards the ceiling, aligning the screw holes on the fixture with the holes on the mounting bracket. Secure the fixture body to the bracket using the provided mounting screws.
5. Install the Glass Shade: Gently place the Opal glass shade onto the fixture body. Depending on the design, it may twist into place or be secured with decorative nuts. Ensure it is seated properly and securely.
6. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all components are secure, restore power at the circuit breaker.
