Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your Child Craft Coventry 4-in-1 Convertible Full-Size Crib. The Coventry crib is designed to adapt to your child's growth, converting from a crib to a toddler bed, a day bed, and finally a full-size bed. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use to ensure the safety and longevity of the product.
Product Features
- 4-in-1 Convertible Design: Easily transforms from a crib to a toddler bed, day bed, and full-size bed to grow with your child.
- Durable Construction: Made of solid wood with a non-toxic finish for lasting quality and safety.
- Adjustable Mattress Support: Features a metal mattress support that adjusts to three different heights to accommodate your child's development.
- Classic Sleigh Style: Gracefully contoured lines and a classic sleigh design complement any nursery decor.
- Safety Certified: Designed with your child's safety in mind.
Setup and Assembly
The Child Craft Coventry crib requires assembly. Please refer to the separate assembly instructions provided with your product for detailed, step-by-step guidance. Ensure all hardware is securely fastened before use. Do not overtighten screws.
Crib Configuration
Assemble the crib according to the provided instructions. The mattress support can be adjusted to three different heights. For newborns and infants, the highest mattress position is recommended for easier access. As your child grows and begins to push up on hands and knees, or reaches a height of 35 inches, lower the mattress support to prevent climbing out.

Conversion to Toddler Bed
To convert the crib into a toddler bed, remove the front rail and install the coordinating toddler guard rail (model F09514), which is sold separately. Ensure the mattress support is in the lowest position for safety.

Conversion to Full-Size Bed

Operating Instructions
Always ensure that all components are correctly assembled and securely fastened before placing a child in the crib or any converted bed configuration. Regularly check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Do not use the crib if any parts are missing, damaged, or broken.
Mattress Height Adjustment
The mattress support has three adjustable positions. To change the mattress height, carefully remove the mattress and mattress support. Realign the mattress support to the desired height setting and re-secure all attachment points. Always ensure the mattress support is level and stable.
- Highest Position: For infants who cannot push up on their hands and knees.
- Middle Position: For infants who can push up on their hands and knees but cannot yet stand.
- Lowest Position: For toddlers who can stand. This position must be used for toddler bed, day bed, and full-size bed conversions.
The maximum weight recommendation for the crib is 50 pounds.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the safety and longevity of your Child Craft Coventry crib.
- Cleaning: Wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or strong chemicals that could damage the finish or material.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all screws, bolts, and other hardware to ensure they are tight and secure. Do not overtighten.
- Storage: If storing the crib, ensure it is in a dry, temperature-controlled environment to prevent warping or damage to the wood.
- Parts: Do not substitute parts. Use only manufacturer-approved replacement parts.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your Child Craft Coventry crib, please review the following common concerns:
- Loose Parts: If any screws or bolts feel loose, gently tighten them. Do not overtighten, as this can strip the wood.
- Squeaking: Squeaking may indicate loose joints. Check and tighten all hardware.
- Difficulty Converting: Ensure all previous configuration hardware has been removed and that you are using the correct conversion kits (sold separately) for the desired configuration. Refer to the specific assembly instructions for each conversion.
- Damaged Parts: If any part of the crib is damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact customer support for replacement parts. Do not attempt to repair damaged parts yourself.
