5.1 Cleaning the Cooktop Surface

  • The cooktop surface is made of porcelain, which is durable and easy to clean.
  • For everyday spills, wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
  • For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for cooktop surfaces.
  • Ensure the cooktop is cool before cleaning to prevent burns and damage to the surface.

5.2 Cleaning Grates and Burner Caps

  • The continuous grates and sealed burner caps can be removed for cleaning.
  • The grates are dishwasher safe for convenient cleaning.
  • Wash burner caps with warm, soapy water. Ensure they are completely dry before placing them back on the cooktop.
  • Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners on burner caps as this can damage the finish.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your cooktop, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps before contacting service.

  • Burner Not Igniting:
    • Check if the cooktop is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
    • Ensure the gas supply valve is open.
    • Verify that the burner cap is correctly seated on the burner base.
    • Clean any food debris from the igniter electrode and burner ports.
