Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the unit from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Caster Check: Ensure all four casters are securely attached. The two swivel casters with brakes should be at the front for maneuverability and stability.
  3. Placement: Position the cart on a flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated area. Engage the brakes on the front swivel casters to prevent movement.
  4. Power Connection: Uncoil the 9 ft power cord from its holder. Plug the 5-15P plug into a dedicated 110V, 60Hz, 1-phase grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe down all interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

Operating Instructions

  1. Preheating: With the unit plugged in, allow approximately 30-45 minutes for the compartments to reach the preset holding temperature of 150°F to 165°F (65.5°C to 73.9°C). The solar digital thermometer will display the internal temperature.
  2. Loading Food: Open the doors by disengaging the nylon latches. Carefully slide hot food pans onto the adjustable stainless steel universal rails. Ensure pans are fully seated.
  3. Closing Doors: Close the doors firmly and engage the nylon latches to secure them. This ensures optimal temperature retention.
  4. Monitoring Temperature: Periodically check the solar digital thermometer to confirm the internal temperature is within the desired range.
  5. Transport: When transporting, ensure doors are securely latched. Disengage caster brakes. Use the integrated handles for pushing. Re-engage brakes once the cart is in its desired location.
  6. Unplugged Holding: The unit is designed to hold temperatures for 4 hours or more when unplugged, provided the doors remain closed.

Maintenance

  • Daily Cleaning:
    • Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
    • Wipe down interior and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth or sponge using a mild, non-abrasive detergent.
    • Rinse with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly to prevent water spots and mildew.
    • Clean the adjustable rails and door latches.
  • Caster Maintenance: Periodically check casters for debris and ensure they roll freely. Lubricate swivel casters if necessary.
  • Power Cord Care: Inspect the power cord regularly for any signs of damage. Store the cord in its designated holder when not in use.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a clean, dry area when not in use.
