Operating Instructions & Adjustments
The Aeron chair offers a variety of adjustments to personalize your seating experience for optimal comfort and ergonomic support.
1. Seat Height Adjustment
Locate the lever on the right side, beneath the seat. Lift your weight slightly off the seat and pull the lever up to raise the seat. To lower the seat, remain seated and pull the lever up until the desired height is reached.
2. Armrest Adjustments
The armrests are four-way adjustable. Use the levers located on the side of the armrests to adjust their height. The armrests can also swivel and adjust sideways to provide optimal support for your arms and shoulders.

3. Tilt Limiter and Seat Angle Adjustment
The tilt limiter allows you to set the recline range at one of three postures: upright, mid-recline, or full-recline. The seat angle adjustment changes the seat angle from neutral (parallel to the floor) to engaged (5-degree forward tilt).

4. Rear Tension Control
Adjust the tension control knob, typically located on the right side under the seat, to modify the amount of effort required to recline comfortably. Turn clockwise to increase tension (firmer recline) and counter-clockwise to decrease tension (easier recline).
5. Adjustable Lumbar Support
The lumbar support adjusts to support the natural curve of your mid-back or lumbar region. The lumbar support pad can be adjusted vertically over a 4.5-inch range and positioned with a thinner or thicker side facing you to vary the support provided.

To maintain the quality and appearance of your Herman Miller Classic Aeron Chair, wipe it clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
