Setup

  1. Assembly: Attach the handle to the main unit by sliding it into the designated slot until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  2. Fill Clean Water Tank: Remove the clean water tank from the back of the machine. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with hot tap water (not boiling) to the indicated fill line. Add the recommended amount of Bissell cleaning solution according to the instructions on the solution bottle. Replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the machine until it clicks.
  3. Prepare Area: Before cleaning, vacuum the area thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris. For best results, pre-treat heavily soiled areas or tough stains with a suitable pre-treatment solution.

Operating Instructions

Carpet Cleaning

  1. Select Cleaning Mode: On the side of the machine, turn the dial to select your desired cleaning mode. The Bissell Proheat 2X Revolution offers two primary modes:
    • Deep Clean Mode: Provides a thorough clean for heavily soiled carpets and tough stains. This mode uses more water and solution and has a longer drying time.
    • Express Clean Mode: Ideal for lighter cleaning and quick drying. Carpets cleaned in this mode can dry in approximately 30 minutes.

  2. Power On: Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet. Press the power button to turn on the machine.
  3. Cleaning Passes:
    • For a wet pass, press the spray trigger and make a slow forward and backward pass.
    • For a dry pass, release the spray trigger and make a slow forward and backward pass over the same area to extract the dirty water. Repeat dry passes until no more water is being extracted.

  4. HeatWave Technology: The HeatWave Technology helps maintain the temperature of the water you put into the clean tank, ensuring effective cleaning throughout your session.
  5. Empty Dirty Water Tank: When the dirty water tank reaches its MAX fill line, or when you notice a decrease in suction, turn off the machine and empty the dirty water tank.

Upholstery and Spot Cleaning

For cleaning upholstery, stairs, or hard-to-reach areas, use the included hose and specialized tools.

  1. Attach Hose: Open the hose access door on the front of the machine and insert the hose until it clicks into place.
  2. Attach Tool: Connect the desired tool (XL Crevice Tool or 8 cm Brush Tool) to the end of the hose.
  3. Clean: Hold the tool slightly above the surface to be cleaned. Press the spray trigger to apply solution, then press the tool firmly against the surface and pull slowly towards you to extract. Release the trigger and repeat dry passes.

  5. Detach Hose: When finished, turn off the machine. Press the release button on the hose connector and pull the hose out. Close the hose access door.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your cleaner.

  1. Empty and Rinse Dirty Water Tank: After each use, remove the dirty water tank. Open the rubber tab and pour out the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water. Allow it to air dry before reassembling.
  2. Clean Nozzle and Brush Rolls: The nozzle and brush rolls can accumulate hair and debris. Remove the nozzle cover and clean any trapped debris. The brush rolls can be removed for cleaning by following the instructions in the full manual (refer to Bissell's official support for detailed steps). Ensure all parts are free of obstructions.
  3. Rinse Hose and Tools: If you used the hose and tools, rinse them thoroughly with clean water to prevent clogs and odors.
