4. Product Overview
The FLOUREON security system provides high-definition surveillance with advanced features.
4.1 DVR (Digital Video Recorder)
The 1080N DVR supports 8 channels, allowing connection of up to 8 cameras. It records true color high-definition images and supports various recording modes, including motion detection and scheduled recording. A 3.5-inch SATA hard drive (500GB to 4TB) is required for recording storage. Seagate brand hard drives are recommended for compatibility.

4.2 Security Cameras
The system includes 2.0MP CMOS cameras, providing 3000TVL 1080P HD resolution. Each camera features an IR-CUT filter for accurate daytime colors and 36 high-intensity array IR-LEDs for night vision up to 60 feet, delivering clear black and white images in low light conditions.

5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Hard Drive Installation (if not pre-installed)
- Unscrew and remove the top cover of the DVR.
- Connect the SATA data cable and power cable from the DVR to the 3.5-inch SATA hard drive.
- Secure the hard drive to the DVR chassis using the provided screws.
- Replace the DVR cover and secure it with screws.
5.2 Camera Installation
- Choose suitable locations for your cameras, ensuring they cover desired areas and are within cable reach of the DVR and power source.
- Mount each camera securely using the provided screws and wall plugs.
- Adjust the camera angle for optimal viewing.
5.3 System Wiring
- Connect one end of each video power cable to a camera.
- Connect the video (BNC) connector of the other end of each cable to a video input port on the DVR.
- Connect the power connector of the video power cables to the power splitter, then connect the power splitter to the camera power adapter.
- Connect a monitor to the DVR via HDMI or VGA port.
- Connect the USB mouse to a USB port on the DVR.
- Connect the DVR to your router using an Ethernet cable for remote access functionality.
- Connect the DVR power adapter to the DVR and then to a power outlet.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Initial Setup and DVR Interface
- Upon first power-up, the DVR will guide you through an initial setup wizard. Follow the on-screen prompts to set date/time, network settings, and user passwords.
- Use the USB mouse to navigate the DVR's graphical user interface (GUI). Right-click to access the main menu.
- Familiarize yourself with the main menu options for live view, playback, recording settings, and system configuration.
6.2 Remote Access
The system supports remote viewing via PC surveillance software and mobile phone applications without complex port forwarding.
- PC Software: Install the provided PC surveillance software on your computer. Use the DVR's unique ID (found in network settings) to add the device for remote viewing.
- Mobile App: Download the recommended mobile application (check DVR settings for app name) from your device's app store. Register an account and add your DVR using its unique ID or by scanning a QR code.

6.3 Motion Detection and Email Alarm
Configure motion detection to trigger alerts and recording.
- Navigate to the DVR's main menu, then to Alarm or Motion Detection settings.
- Select the camera(s) for which you want to enable motion detection.
- Customize the detection area and sensitivity.
- Set a 24x7 schedule for when the alert system should be active.
- Configure alert actions: enable the DVR's buzzer, set up email notifications (requires SMTP server settings), and trigger recording.

6.4 Recording and Playback
The DVR supports continuous, scheduled, and motion-triggered recording.
- Recording Setup: Access the Record settings in the main menu to configure recording schedules and modes for each camera. Ensure your hard drive is properly installed and formatted.
- Playback: From the main menu, select Playback. Choose the date, time, and camera channel to review recorded footage.
6.5 Night Vision
The cameras automatically switch to night vision mode in low light conditions, utilizing IR-LEDs to provide clear black and white images up to 60 feet.

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean camera lenses with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- DVR Ventilation: Ensure the DVR's ventilation openings are clear of dust and obstructions to prevent overheating.
- Cable Connections: Periodically check all cable connections (video, power, network) for security and integrity.
- Firmware Updates: Check the FLOUREON official website for any available firmware updates for your DVR model to ensure optimal performance and security.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1 No Video Display
- Check if the DVR and monitor are powered on.
- Verify the HDMI/VGA cable connection between the DVR and monitor.
- Ensure cameras are properly connected to the DVR and receiving power.
8.2 Remote Access Issues
- Confirm the DVR is connected to the internet via Ethernet cable.
- Check network settings on the DVR to ensure it has a valid IP address.
- Verify the unique ID or QR code entered in the PC software or mobile app is correct.
- Ensure your router's firewall is not blocking the DVR's connection.
8.3 No Recording
- Check if a hard drive is installed and properly connected inside the DVR.
- Ensure the hard drive is formatted by the DVR (usually found in System > HDD settings).
- Verify recording schedules are correctly configured for the desired channels.
- Check if the hard drive is full. If so, configure overwrite settings or replace the drive.
8.4 Poor Image Quality
- Clean the camera lens.
- Ensure camera cables are securely connected and not damaged.
- Check for strong light sources directly facing the camera, which can cause glare.
