A memory card is required for recording. The dash cam supports SDHC cards up to 32GB.
- Locate the memory card slot on the dash cam.
- Insert a compatible SDHC memory card (Class 10 or higher recommended) with the gold contacts facing the correct direction until it clicks into place.
- To remove, gently press the card until it springs out.
Note: This device is compatible with SDHC memory cards. SDXC cards are not supported and may cause functionality issues.
3. Powering the Dash Cam
The dash cam can be powered via the included car charger or its built-in rechargeable battery.
- Using the Car Charger: Connect the car charger to the dash cam's USB port and plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V power outlet (cigarette lighter socket). The dash cam will typically power on and begin recording automatically when the vehicle starts (Auto-Ignition Start).
- Charging the Internal Battery: Connect the dash cam to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter) using the provided USB cable. The battery indicator will show charging status.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
- Manual Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the screen illuminates.
- Manual Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the screen turns off.
- Auto Power On/Off: When connected to the car charger, the dash cam will power on and off with your vehicle's ignition.
2. Recording Modes
The dash cam supports both video and photo recording.
- Video Recording: Upon powering on, the dash cam typically enters video recording mode automatically. A recording indicator (e.g., red dot, timer) will appear on the screen. Press the 'OK' button to manually start/stop recording.
- Photo Mode: While in standby or recording mode, press the 'Mode' button to switch to photo mode. Press the 'OK' button to capture a still image.
3. Loop Recording
The dash cam features loop recording, which continuously records video. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked files are overwritten by new recordings. This ensures continuous operation without manual memory management.
4. Motion Detection
When enabled, motion detection allows the dash cam to automatically start recording if movement is detected in front of the lens while the vehicle is parked. Refer to the on-screen menu for enabling and adjusting motion detection sensitivity.
5. Night Mode (IR Lights)
The built-in IR lights assist in recording clearer video in low-light conditions. These lights typically activate automatically or can be toggled via the menu settings.
6. Instant Playback
To review recorded videos or photos:
- Stop any current recording.
- Press the 'Mode' button repeatedly until you enter playback mode.
- Use the navigation buttons to browse through your recorded files.
- Press the 'OK' button to play a selected video or view a photo.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera lens and screen. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Memory Card: Periodically format your memory card (at least once a month) within the dash cam's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important files before formatting.
- Storage: When not in use, store the dash cam in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
