Setup and Assembly
Assembly of the GDFStudio 5-Piece Cast Aluminum Expandable Dining Set is required. It is recommended that two adults perform the assembly for safety and ease.
Required Tools (Not Included):
- Adjustable Wrench
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
Assembly Steps:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging. Lay them out on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches. Verify all hardware and components are present according to the parts list (refer to your product's included parts diagram).
- Assemble Chairs: Attach the chair legs to the seat frame using the provided bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten bolts until all connections are made.
- Attach Chair Backrests: Secure the backrests to the assembled chair seats. Ensure proper alignment before partially tightening fasteners.
- Assemble Table Base: Connect the table legs to the central support structure.
- Attach Tabletop: Carefully place the tabletop onto the assembled table base. Secure it using the designated bolts.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are assembled and aligned, gradually tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten.
- Leveling: Ensure all chairs and the table are stable and level. Adjust leg levelers if present.

Operating Instructions
Expandable Table Function:
Your dining table features an expandable design, allowing you to adjust its length to accommodate more guests or provide additional surface area.
- To Expand: Locate the locking mechanisms or latches on the underside or ends of the table. Release these locks. Gently pull the two halves of the tabletop apart. The extension leaf, typically stored within the table, will either lift into place automatically or require manual placement. Once the leaf is in position, push the tabletop halves back together until they meet the leaf, and re-engage the locking mechanisms to secure the table in its expanded state.
- To Collapse: Release the locking mechanisms. Gently pull the tabletop halves apart to disengage the extension leaf. If the leaf is manually placed, remove it and store it safely. Push the tabletop halves back together until they meet, and re-engage the locking mechanisms to secure the table in its collapsed state.
Always ensure the table is fully locked in either the expanded or collapsed position before use to prevent accidental movement.

Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life and appearance of your cast aluminum dining set.
- Cleaning: Wipe with a dry cloth regularly to remove dust and debris. For more thorough cleaning, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately to prevent water spots. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish.
- Protection: While cast aluminum is naturally rust-resistant, it is recommended to cover the dining set during periods of non-use or harsh weather conditions (heavy rain, snow, strong sun) to protect the finish and prolong its lifespan.
- Fastener Check: Periodically inspect all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary, but do not overtighten.
- Storage: If storing the set for an extended period, clean it thoroughly, ensure it is completely dry, and store it in a cool, dry place, preferably covered.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your dining set, refer to the following common solutions:
- Wobbly Table or Chairs:
Solution: Check all assembly bolts and screws. Ensure they are securely tightened. If the ground is uneven, use shims or adjust any integrated leg levelers to stabilize the furniture. - Difficulty Expanding/Collapsing Table:
Solution: Ensure all locking mechanisms are fully disengaged. Check for any debris or obstructions in the expansion tracks or around the leaf. Lubricate moving parts with a silicone-based spray if necessary. - Scratches or Minor Damage to Finish:
Solution: For minor scratches, touch-up paint matching the hammered bronze finish may be available from the manufacturer or a local hardware store. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.
