2. Important Safety Information

WARNING: Read all instructions before installing or using this heater. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or property damage.

  • Ensure the fireplace is connected to a 110V outlet. For full heat operation, a dedicated 15-amp circuit is recommended.
  • This electric fireplace is designed for supplemental heat and cannot be used as a primary heat source.
  • Do not block air inlets or outlets. Maintain clear space around the fireplace for proper ventilation.
  • The glass front remains cool to the touch, making it safe for households with children and pets.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.

5. Installation Guide

This fireplace is designed for in-wall recessed installation only. It cannot be wall-mounted or used freestanding. It is a perfect fit for a 2 x 6 inch wall construction.

5.1 Preparing the Opening

Create a framed opening in your wall according to the firebox dimensions provided in the specifications section. Ensure the opening is structurally sound and can support the weight of the unit (64 lbs).

5.2 Electrical Connection

The fireplace offers two electrical connection options:

  • Plug-in: Simply plug the unit into a standard 110V outlet.
  • Hard-wiring: For a more permanent installation, the unit can be hard-wired. Consult a qualified electrician for this option to ensure compliance with local electrical codes.

5.3 Securing the Fireplace

Once the opening is prepared and electrical connections are made, carefully slide the fireplace unit into the framed opening. Secure the unit using the provided mounting hardware. Ensure it is flush with the wall surface for optimal appearance and safety.

6. Operating Instructions

Your PuraFlame Alice fireplace can be operated using either the touch screen buttons located on the unit or the included remote control.

6.1 Touch Screen Controls

The touch screen buttons provide direct control over the fireplace functions. The button lights will turn off after a few seconds of inactivity.

6.2 Remote Control Operation

The remote control offers convenient operation from a distance. It features an LCD display for settings and dedicated buttons for various functions.

  • ON/OFF: Powers the unit on or off.
  • FLAME: Cycles through 4 different flame settings (Yellow with blue low brightness, All yellow brightness, Yellow with blue brightness, All blue brightness).
  • HEATER: Activates the heater with two settings (High 1500W and Low 750W). The heater output is from the upper front vents.
  • TEMPERATURE: Adjusts the thermostat to control room temperature from 60°F to 84°F.
  • TIMER: Sets the countdown timer for automatic shut-off, from 30 minutes to 9 hours.
  • FUEL BED: Changes the color and effect of the ember bed. You can choose between the included log set or crystal stones.

  • Cleaning: Before cleaning, always unplug the unit from the power source. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sprays.
  • Air Vents: Periodically check and clean the air inlets and outlets to prevent dust buildup, which can affect heating efficiency. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to gently remove dust.
  • Light Bulbs: The LED lights are designed for long life and typically do not require replacement. If issues arise, consult customer support.
