1. Introduction
The ISOTRONIC Ultrasonic Bird Repeller (Model 70625) is an advanced device designed to deter various birds, including pigeons, seagulls, sparrows, and crows, as well as cats, from your property. Utilizing multi-frequency ultrasonic technology, this repeller creates an uncomfortable environment for pests without causing them harm, offering an animal-friendly and environmentally conscious solution. It is ideal for use in a variety of outdoor settings to protect your gardens, balconies, windows, and other areas.
2. Product Overview
The ISOTRONIC Ultrasonic Bird Repeller is a compact, battery-operated device engineered for mobile and versatile use. Its key features include:
- Battery-Operated: Powered by 6 x AAA Micro batteries (included), providing approximately 8 months of operation.
- Effective Range: Offers approximately 4 meters of radial protection per device, covering an area of about 40 m².
- Multi-Frequency Technology: Employs varying ultrasonic frequencies (12-24 kHz) to prevent pests from becoming accustomed to the sound, ensuring continuous effectiveness.
- Discreet Operation: The ultrasonic frequency is designed for bird deterrence and may be audible to sensitive individuals, but it is generally inconspicuous.
- Versatile Application: Suitable for gardens, orchards, vineyards, fields, facades, balconies, gutters, windows, fruit trees, vehicles, carports, boats, and ships.
- Water-Resistant: Designed to withstand outdoor conditions.
Important Note: This device is intended for preventative use. It is not suitable for displacing nesting birds or existing bird nests.

3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
- Locate the screws on the bottom of the device. Use a suitable screwdriver to loosen these screws and carefully remove the housing cover.
- If replacing batteries, remove the old batteries from the battery holder.
- Insert 6 new AAA Micro batteries into the battery holder. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) as indicated on the bottom of the battery holder.
- Replace the housing cover and secure it by tightening the screws.

3.2. Placement and Alignment
Optimal placement is crucial for the device's effectiveness. Consider the following:
- Target Area: Align the device so that the frequency waves can propagate unhindered towards the usual landing or resting places of the animals you wish to deter.
- Avoid Obstructions: Ensure there are no large objects, walls, or dense foliage directly in front of the device that could block the ultrasonic waves. Incorrect alignment can create 'blind spots' where animals remain undisturbed.
- Mounting Options: The device features an integrated holder, allowing it to be easily hung in a tree or on a balcony railing. It can also be placed on flat surfaces.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Powering On/Off
Once the batteries are correctly installed, use the ON/OFF slide switch located on the side of the device to activate or deactivate it.
4.2. Operation Cycle
When activated, the device will emit high-frequency sounds for 5 seconds, followed by an interval of 30 seconds. This intermittent operation helps prevent habituation and ensures continuous deterrence.
4.3. Expected Results
For optimal results, continuous operation is recommended. If animals are already accustomed to staying in your area, it may take some time for the repeller to be fully effective:
- 1 Week: Birds will begin to notice a change in their environment.
- 2 Weeks: Environmentally friendly deterrence without traps or poison will be established.
- 3 Weeks: Most birds will have found a new, undisturbed place to stay.
The device works by creating an unpleasant, though not necessarily painful, environment for pests. Patience is key to achieving long-term deterrence.

Figure 4.1: Operational mode and expected results over time: After 1 week, birds need a change of environment. After 2 weeks, environmentally friendly deterrence without traps or poison. After 3 weeks, birds will find a new place to stay. The device emits high-frequency sounds for 5 seconds with 30-second intervals.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ISOTRONIC Ultrasonic Bird Repeller, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the electronics.
- Battery Check: Replace batteries approximately every 8 months, or sooner if you notice a decrease in performance. Refer to Section 3.1 for battery replacement instructions.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the device for any signs of physical damage. Ensure the housing is intact and the ON/OFF switch operates smoothly.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and store it in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ISOTRONIC Ultrasonic Bird Repeller, please refer to the following troubleshooting guide:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not turn on or operate. | Batteries are incorrectly installed or depleted. | Check battery polarity and ensure they are fresh. Replace all 6 AAA batteries if necessary (refer to Section 3.1). |
| Device is not effectively deterring pests. | Incorrect placement or insufficient time for deterrence. Pests are accustomed to the area. | Ensure the device is aligned towards the target area without obstructions (refer to Section 3.2). Allow 7 to 14 days, up to 3 weeks, for full effectiveness as pests habituate to the sound. Ensure continuous operation. |
| Pests are still present, especially nesting birds. | The device is not designed to displace existing nests. | The repeller is for preventative use. It will not remove existing nests. Consider alternative, humane methods for existing nests. |
| Audible sound from the device. | Sensitive hearing. | The multi-frequency sound is designed for bird deterrence and may be audible to sensitive individuals. This is normal operation. |
