Setup and Assembly
The DEVAISE Mobile File Cabinet is designed for quick and easy setup. Only the casters require assembly.
- Unpack the Cabinet: Carefully remove the cabinet from its packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Prepare for Caster Installation: Gently lay the cabinet on its side or upside down on a soft, protected surface to avoid scratching the finish.
- Install Main Casters: Locate the four threaded holes on the bottom corners of the cabinet. Screw in the four main casters (two with brakes, two standard) into these holes. Use the provided wrench to tighten them securely.
- Install Anti-Tipping Caster: Locate the central hole on the bottom of the file drawer. Attach the small anti-tipping caster to this spot using the provided screws and screwdriver. This caster provides additional stability when the file drawer is fully extended.

Operating Instructions
Using the Drawers
The cabinet features three drawers: two stationery drawers and one file drawer.
- Stationery Drawers: The top two drawers are suitable for storing office supplies, small items, and personal belongings. The top drawer includes a removable pencil tray for organization.
- File Drawer: The bottom drawer is designed to accommodate letter size, legal size, and A4 hanging file folders. Adjust the removable hanging bar as needed to fit your file size.

Interlock System
The cabinet features a single lock located on the top right, which secures all three drawers simultaneously.
- To Lock: Insert one of the provided keys into the lock cylinder on the top right of the cabinet. Turn the key clockwise to engage the locking mechanism. All three drawers will be secured.
- To Unlock: Insert the key and turn it counter-clockwise. The drawers will now be able to open.
- Key Management: Two keys are provided. Keep one in a safe place as a spare.
Mobility and Stability
The casters allow for easy movement of the cabinet. Two front casters have a braking function.
- Moving the Cabinet: Release the brakes on the front casters by flipping the lever upwards. Gently push or pull the cabinet to its desired location.
- Securing the Cabinet: Once in position, engage the brakes on the front casters by flipping the lever downwards. This will prevent the cabinet from rolling unintentionally.
- Anti-Tipping Feature: The small central caster under the file drawer provides additional support and prevents the cabinet from tipping forward when the file drawer is fully extended and loaded.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your file cabinet.
- Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish.
- Drawer Slides: Periodically check the drawer slides for smooth operation. If they become stiff, a small amount of silicone-based lubricant can be applied.
- Casters: Keep the casters free of dust, hair, and debris to ensure smooth rolling. Check periodically that they are securely tightened.
- Lock Mechanism: Do not force the lock. If it becomes stiff, a small amount of graphite lubricant can be applied to the keyhole.
