5. Setup
5.1 Initial Inspection
Upon receiving your TATTU LiPo battery, carefully inspect it for any signs of damage, such as swelling, punctures, or frayed wires. Do not use a damaged battery.
5.2 Charging the Battery
Before first use, the battery must be fully charged. Use a dedicated LiPo balance charger with the following settings:
- Battery Type: LiPo
- Cell Count: 3S (3 Cells)
- Voltage: 11.1V
- Capacity: 450mAh
- Charge Rate: Do not exceed 1C (0.45A for this 450mAh battery) unless specified by the charger or battery manufacturer.
Connect the XT30 discharge plug to the charger's output and the JST-XHR-4P balance plug to the charger's balance port. Ensure all connections are secure before starting the charging process.
6. Operation
6.1 Connecting to Device
This TATTU LiPo battery is equipped with an XT30 discharge plug, specifically designed for 90-150 size FPV drones and other compatible Multirotor applications. Connect the XT30 plug to your device's power input. Ensure the polarity is correct.
6.2 Usage Guidelines
- Discharge: Do not discharge the battery below 3.0V per cell (9.0V for a 3S battery) to prevent irreversible damage.
- Temperature: Avoid operating the battery in extreme hot or cold conditions.
- Monitoring: Use a low-voltage alarm or telemetry system to monitor battery voltage during operation.

7. Maintenance and Storage
7.1 Post-Use Care
After each use, allow the battery to cool down before recharging. Inspect for any physical damage or swelling. If the battery is warm, let it cool to room temperature before charging.
7.2 Long-Term Storage
For long-term storage, charge or discharge the battery to a storage voltage of 3.8V per cell (11.4V for a 3S battery). Store in a cool, dry place, ideally in a LiPo-safe bag or container, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

8. Troubleshooting
- Battery Not Charging: Ensure all connections are secure. Verify charger settings match the battery specifications. Check for any visible damage to the battery or charger.
- Reduced Flight Time/Power: This could indicate an aging battery, over-discharge in previous uses, or improper charging. Ensure the battery is fully balanced and charged before use.
- Battery Swelling: Immediately discontinue use and safely dispose of the battery. Swelling indicates internal damage and a high risk of fire.
- Overheating During Charge/Discharge: Stop the process immediately. Overheating can lead to thermal runaway. Ensure proper ventilation and correct charge/discharge rates.
