Operating Instructions
The Winco ECO-500 is equipped with user-friendly controls for precise cooking.
Controls Overview
- Temperature Control Knob: Located on the front panel, this knob allows you to set the desired cooking temperature from 150°F to 500°F.
- Timer Knob: Also on the front panel, this knob sets the cooking duration up to 120 minutes. It features a 'Stay-On' function for continuous operation.
- Power Indicator Light: Illuminates when the oven is powered on.
- Heating Indicator Light: Illuminates when the heating elements are active and turns off once the set temperature is reached.
Basic Operation
- Preheating: Turn the temperature control knob to the desired temperature. The heating indicator light will illuminate. Allow the oven to preheat until the heating indicator light turns off, indicating the set temperature has been reached.
- Loading Food: Carefully open the dual-pane tempered-glass door. Place food on the chrome wire shelves or the included sheet pan. The spacious interior accommodates three shelves for versatile cooking.
- Setting Cook Time: Turn the timer knob to the desired cooking duration. For continuous operation, turn the knob past the '120' mark to the 'Stay-On' position.
- Monitoring: The dual-pane tempered-glass door allows for easy monitoring of food without opening the oven, helping to maintain consistent internal temperature.
- Completion: When the timer reaches zero, an audible signal will sound, and the oven will turn off automatically (unless in 'Stay-On' mode). Carefully remove cooked food using oven mitts.
Convection Feature
The convection fan ensures whisper-quiet circulation of hot air throughout the oven cavity, resulting in even cooking and browning. This feature is automatically active during operation, eliminating hot spots and reducing cooking times compared to conventional ovens.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your Winco ECO-500 oven.
- Disconnect Power: Always unplug the oven from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Interior Cleaning: Wipe the interior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using steel wool or harsh chemicals that could damage the stainless steel finish.
- Exterior Cleaning: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Dry thoroughly to prevent water spots.
- Shelves and Pan: The chrome wire shelves and sheet pan are removable and can be washed with warm, soapy water. They are also dishwasher safe.
- Door Cleaning: Clean the dual-pane tempered-glass door with a glass cleaner or a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the glass.
- Fan Cleaning: Periodically inspect the convection fan for any debris buildup. Ensure the fan is clean for optimal air circulation.
