Operating Instructions
Taking a Measurement
To measure muzzle velocity and rate of fire:
- Ensure the chronograph is powered on and placed on a stable surface, or mounted on a tripod using the standard camera screw hole on the bottom.
- Aim your airsoft gun directly through the orange measurement tube. For gas and CO2 guns, maintain a distance of more than 10 cm from the device to avoid smoke interference.
- Fire a BB through the tube. The device will automatically detect the BB and display the measurement results on the LCD screen.

Understanding the Display (SCR1)
Screen 1 (SCR1) provides real-time information:
- Battery Power Status: Indicated by an icon.
- Rate of Fire (RPM or RPS): Displays shots per minute or second.
- Velocity (m/s or ft/s): Shows the speed of the BB.
- N-th BB bullet shot: Indicates the sequence number of the current shot.

Setting Ammo Parameters (SCR2 & AMMO Menu)
Screen 2 (SCR2) allows you to select and change ammo parameters. The AMMO menu provides 5 memory slots for setting BB weight (WT) and caliber (CAL), which are used to calculate Joules.
- Use the Up and Down keys to navigate and select ammo parameters.
- Adjust BB weight and caliber according to your ammunition for accurate energy (Joules) readings.

Reviewing Historical Data (SCR3)
Screen 3 (SCR3) displays historical speed data, storing up to 25 memory slots:
- Press the Up/Down keys to scroll through past measurements (SN, RPM, m/s).
- To clear all historical speed data, press and hold the Up key for 3 seconds.

Menu Settings
Access various settings through the menu options:
- UNIT: Change measurement units (RPM, M/S, FPS, JOULE).
- APO (Auto Power Off): Configure the auto power-off duration (5-60 minutes) for power saving. The device will also shut down automatically when battery power is very low.
- BACK LIGHT: Adjust backlight settings (ON, OFF, AUTO) and brightness (HIGH, MID, LOW).
- CONTRAST: Adjust LCD contrast (0-10).
- RESET: Restore factory default settings. This will reset the SN (shot number) to 1.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your ACETECH AC5000 Chronograph.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the measurement tube is free of debris.
- Storage: Store the chronograph in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries.
- IR Sensor Calibration: The device features IR sensor self-calibration. If you suspect accuracy issues, refer to the troubleshooting section or perform a factory reset.
Troubleshooting
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the BB passes cleanly through the center of the measurement tube. Verify that the correct BB weight and caliber are set in the AMMO parameters. For gas/CO2 guns, ensure sufficient distance (over 10 cm) to avoid smoke interference.
- Device Not Powering On: Check battery installation and ensure batteries are fresh. If using Micro-USB power, ensure the cable and power source are functional.
- Display Issues: Adjust the contrast setting in the menu. If the screen is unresponsive, try resetting the device to factory defaults.
- "Not working with Nerf": This device is specifically designed for airsoft BBs and is not compatible with Nerf darts.
