4. Setup and Assembly

The Fermod DOUG6-6 shelving kit features tool-free assembly. Follow these steps for proper installation:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out. Ensure all listed components from Section 3 are present.
2. Assemble Vertical Posts: Position the vertical posts for the main start unit according to your desired layout within the 6'x6' walk-in cooler space. The posts are pre-drilled with 11 standard positions for shelf height adjustment.
3. Attach Horizontal Shelf Rails: For each shelf level, attach two horizontal shelf rails to the vertical posts. These rails slide into the pre-drilled holes and lock into place without tools. Ensure they are securely seated.
4. Insert Polymer Inserts: Once the horizontal rails are in place, insert the removable vented polymer inserts onto the rails. These form the shelf surface.
