Setup and First Use
Before using your electric kettle for the first time, it is recommended to clean it by boiling a full kettle of water and then discarding it. Repeat this process two to three times.
- Unpack the kettle and its power base from the packaging.
- Place the power base on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Ensure the power cord is not dangling over the edge of the counter.
- Fill the kettle with water up to the MAX 1.2L mark. Do not overfill.
- Close the lid securely.
- Place the kettle onto the power base.
- Plug the power cord into a standard 110-120V, 50/60Hz electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Filling the Kettle: Press the lid release button to open the lid. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water, ensuring it is between the MIN and MAX 1.2L marks on the water level indicator. Close the lid firmly until it clicks.
- Placing on Base: Place the kettle securely onto its power base. The 360° cordless design allows for easy placement from any angle.
- Turning On: Flip the On/Off switch located at the bottom of the handle to the "On" position. The blue LED light in the water level indicator will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
- Boiling Process: The kettle will begin to heat the water. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, the kettle will automatically shut off, and the blue LED light will extinguish.
- Serving: Carefully lift the kettle from the power base. The cordless design allows for easy pouring. The drip-free spout ensures accurate pouring.
- Re-boiling: If the kettle has just boiled, allow a few moments for the internal thermostat to reset before attempting to re-boil.
Note: The kettle features boil-dry protection. If the kettle is accidentally switched on without sufficient water, it will automatically shut off to prevent damage. Allow the kettle to cool down before refilling with cold water.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
- Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other liquid.
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel finish.
- The removable and washable filter located in the spout can be detached for cleaning. Rinse it under running water and reattach it once clean.
Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in areas with hard water. This can affect performance and efficiency. Descale your kettle regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use.
To descale:
- Fill the kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Allow the mixture to soak in the kettle for at least 30 minutes, or longer for heavy buildup.
- Pour out the mixture and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times.
- For stubborn deposits, repeat the process or use a commercial descaling solution following its instructions.
