While the calculator is battery-powered, it can also be used with an optional AC adapter (not included) for continuous operation without relying on batteries.
Installing the Paper Roll:
- Open the paper roll cover located at the top rear of the calculator.
- Place a new paper roll into the compartment, ensuring the paper feeds from the bottom of the roll.
- Feed the leading edge of the paper into the printer slot until it emerges from the top.
- Close the paper roll cover. Use the FEED button to advance the paper if needed.
Operating Instructions
Basic Calculations:
Enter numbers using the numeric keypad. Use the +, -, x, ÷ keys for arithmetic operations. Press = to display the result. The calculator supports 2-color printing, with positive results in black and negative results in red on the paper roll.
Reprint and After Print Function:
The calculator stores calculation history. To reprint the history, press the REPRINT button. This allows you to generate multiple copies of your calculations. The AFTER PRINT function enables printing of the calculation history even if the print mode was initially off.
Clock and Calendar Function:
To print the current time and date, use the dedicated Clock and Calendar function. Refer to the on-screen prompts or specific key combinations for setting and printing the date and time.
Cost, Sell, and Margin Calculations:
Utilize the COST, SELL, and MAR (Margin) keys to quickly determine any of these three values when the other two are known. This is particularly useful for business applications.
Tax and Exchange Functions:
The calculator includes dedicated keys for tax calculations (TAX+, TAX-) and currency exchange. Configure the tax rate and exchange rates as per your requirements before using these functions.
150 Steps Check:
Press the CHECK button to review up to 150 previous calculation steps. Use the arrow keys to navigate through the history. This feature is useful for verifying long calculations.
Maintenance
Cleaning:
To clean the calculator, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and a mild detergent, then wipe dry immediately. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray directly onto the calculator.
Battery Replacement:
When the display becomes dim or the calculator functions erratically, it may be time to replace the AA battery. Open the battery compartment cover, remove the old battery, and insert a new one, observing correct polarity. Dispose of old batteries responsibly.
Paper Roll Replacement:
Replace the paper roll when it runs out or the print becomes faint. Follow the instructions in the "Installing the Paper Roll" section under Setup.
