4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and components from the box. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the removable oil tank, frying basket, and lid in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. The heating unit should only be wiped with a damp cloth; never immerse it in water.
  3. Assembly: Place the oil tank securely into the main housing. Insert the heating unit into its designated slot on the back of the housing, ensuring it is properly seated. Place the frying basket inside the oil tank.
  4. Placement: Position the deep fryer on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls and flammable materials. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  5. Adding Oil: Pour suitable frying oil into the oil tank, ensuring the oil level is between the MIN and MAX fill lines indicated inside the tank. Do not overfill.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The digital timer display will illuminate.
  2. Set Temperature: Use the adjustable thermostat knob on the control panel to select the desired frying temperature, ranging from 150°C to 190°C. The indicator light will turn on, signifying that the oil is heating.
  3. Pre-heating: Allow the oil to pre-heat until the indicator light turns off, indicating the set temperature has been reached. This typically takes several minutes depending on the oil volume and desired temperature.
  4. Prepare Food: While the oil is heating, prepare your food. Ensure food items are dry to prevent excessive splattering. For best results, do not overload the basket.
  5. Frying: Carefully lower the frying basket containing the food into the hot oil. Close the lid. You can monitor the cooking process through the viewing window on the lid.
  6. Set Timer: Use the digital timer to set the desired cooking duration. The timer will alert you when the cooking time is complete.
  7. Remove Food: Once cooking is complete, carefully lift the frying basket and hook it onto the edge of the oil tank to allow excess oil to drain.

6. Oil Filtration System

The Tefal Filtra Pro features a patented oil filtration mesh system designed to keep your oil clean and extend its lifespan. After each frying session, allow the oil to cool down completely. Once cooled, the integrated mesh filter can be activated to filter out food residues from the oil. This process helps maintain oil quality, reduces odors, and ensures cleaner results for subsequent frying.
