2.2 Connecting the Drive

1. Connect the Power Adapter: Plug the universal AC power adapter into the power input port on the back of the G-DRIVE, then connect it to a power outlet.

4. Initial Recognition: Your computer should automatically detect the G-DRIVE. For Mac users, the drive will appear on your desktop or in Finder. For Windows users, it will appear in 'This PC' or 'Disk Management'.

3.1 Data Transfer

3.2 Mac and Windows Compatibility

3.3 Drive Sleep Mode

This is normal behavior for a traditional hard disk drive (HDD) and does not indicate a malfunction.
