1. Introduction

The AMIG 21374 Digital Door Viewer is designed to enhance the security of your home by providing a clear and safe way to see who is at your door. This device offers a 160° viewing angle and a high-resolution 4-inch TFT LCD screen, ensuring you can clearly identify visitors regardless of lighting conditions. This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your digital door viewer.

4. Setup and Installation

The AMIG 21374 Digital Door Viewer is designed for easy installation without damaging your door surface. The recommended door thickness for installation is between 40 mm and 70 mm.

4.1. Preparation

  1. Ensure your door has an existing peephole or drill a new hole with a diameter of approximately 13.8 mm.
  2. Gather necessary tools: screwdriver, measuring tape.
  3. Insert 3x AAA batteries into the indoor unit, observing correct polarity.

4.2. Installation Steps

  1. Install Outdoor Camera: Insert the outdoor camera unit (peephole) through the hole from the outside of the door. Ensure it is flush with the door surface.
  2. Attach Mounting Bracket: From the inside of the door, slide the mounting bracket over the threaded tube of the outdoor camera. Secure it with the provided screws.
  3. Connect Indoor Unit: Connect the cable from the outdoor camera to the corresponding port on the back of the indoor display unit.
  4. Mount Indoor Unit: Align the indoor unit with the mounting bracket and slide it downwards until it clicks into place, securing it firmly to the door.

5. Operating Instructions

Once installed and powered, your digital door viewer is ready for use.

5.1. Powering On/Off

  • To turn on the screen, press the power button located on the side or front of the indoor unit.
  • The screen will automatically turn off after a short period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

5.2. Viewing Visitors

  • When the screen is on, you will see a live video feed from the outdoor camera.
  • The 160° wide-angle lens provides a broad view of the area outside your door.
  • The 4-inch TFT LCD screen with 800x480 pixel resolution ensures a clear and detailed image.

5.3. Photo Storage

  • The device includes 1 GB of internal storage for capturing photos.
  • Refer to the on-screen menu (if available) for instructions on how to take and review photos.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the screen and outer casing with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays.

6.2. Battery Replacement

  • When the battery indicator shows low power, replace all three AAA batteries.
  • Open the battery compartment on the indoor unit, remove old batteries, and insert new ones, ensuring correct polarity.
