5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

  1. Align the battery pack with the battery compartment on the rear of the transceiver.
  2. Slide the battery pack into place until it clicks securely.
  3. Ensure the battery release latch is engaged.

5.2. Charging the Battery

  1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the charging terminal on the transceiver.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The charging indicator will illuminate. Charging is complete when the indicator changes color or turns off (refer to the display for battery status).

5.3. Antenna Attachment

  1. Screw the antenna clockwise onto the antenna connector on top of the transceiver until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

5.4. Belt Clip Attachment

  1. Align the belt clip with the mounting holes on the back of the transceiver.
  2. Secure the belt clip using the provided screws.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off

  • To power on, rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise until you hear a click.
  • To power off, rotate the Power/Volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click.

6.2. Volume Adjustment

  • Rotate the Power/Volume knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.

6.3. Channel Selection

  • Use the Up () and Down () arrow buttons to select the desired channel (CH01-CH35).
  • The selected channel number will be displayed on the LCD screen.

6.4. Transmission (PTT)

  1. Press and hold the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the transceiver.
  2. Speak clearly into the microphone.
  3. Release the PTT button to stop transmitting and return to receive mode.

6.5. Reception

  • When not transmitting, the transceiver is in receive mode. Audio will be heard through the speaker when a signal is received on the selected channel.

6.6. Mode Button

  • Press the 'MODE' button to cycle through available operating modes or functions as indicated on the display. Refer to the on-screen prompts for specific mode functionalities.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the transceiver with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed to maintain waterproof integrity.

7.2. Battery Care

  • To maximize battery life, avoid overcharging or completely discharging the battery frequently.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

  • Store the transceiver in a dry, dust-free environment.
  • Remove the battery if storing for more than a month.
