Introduction
The UBTECH JIMU Robot Builderbots Kit provides an interactive robotic building experience designed for STEM learning. This kit allows users to construct two primary robot models, GrabberBot or DigBot, or to design their own custom robotic creations. Through hands-on assembly and app-enabled programming, users can explore engineering principles and develop coding skills.
Safety Information
WARNING: Choking Hazard - Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years old.
Always ensure adult supervision during assembly and operation, especially with younger users. Keep small parts away from infants and young children to prevent accidental ingestion.

Setup
1. App Download and Installation
The JIMU Robot requires a compatible iOS or Android device for assembly instructions, programming, and control. Download the free JIMU app from your device's app store.
2. Robot Assembly
Follow the step-by-step 3D animated instructions provided within the JIMU app to assemble your chosen robot model (GrabberBot or DigBot). The app allows you to rotate views and zoom in on specific steps for clarity.

3. Powering On and Charging
Ensure the robot's battery is fully charged before first use. Connect the provided charging adapter to the robot's main control box and a power outlet. The LED indicator on the control box will show charging status. Once charged, disconnect the adapter and power on the robot using the designated button.
Operating Your JIMU Robot
1. Connecting to the App
After assembly, open the JIMU app on your device. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled. The app will guide you through connecting to your robot. You may need to register an account to access all features.
2. Building and Customizing
The app provides detailed 3D instructions for building the GrabberBot and DigBot. You can also use the various parts to create your own unique robot designs.

3. Programming Your Robot
The JIMU app offers two main methods for programming:
- Blockly Code: Use a visual block-based coding interface to program complex sequences, control movements, and interact with sensors.
- PRP (Pose, Record, Play) Function: Manually pose the robot's limbs and record the movements. The robot will then play back the recorded sequence.
4. Controlling Your Robot
Once programmed or in manual control mode, you can operate your JIMU robot directly through the app's interface. This includes driving the robot, activating its gripper or shovel, and controlling its LED lights.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your JIMU robot, gently wipe the surfaces with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using water or cleaning solutions directly on electronic components. Ensure no dust or debris obstructs the sensors or moving parts.
Battery Care
The robot uses a Lithium Ion battery. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Store the robot and battery in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods. Recharge the battery periodically if stored for a long time.
Troubleshooting
- Robot not connecting to app: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the robot is powered on. Try restarting both the app and the robot. Verify that your device meets the app's compatibility requirements.
- Assembly difficulties: Refer to the 3D instructions in the JIMU app. Rotate the model to view connections from different angles. Ensure all parts are correctly oriented and snapped into place.
- Robot not moving or responding: Check battery level and recharge if necessary. Ensure all servo motors are properly connected and not obstructed. Verify that your programming code or PRP sequence is correctly configured in the app.
- App issues (crashes, freezing): Ensure your app is updated to the latest version. Try clearing the app's cache or reinstalling it. Check your device's internet connection for initial content downloads.
