1. Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Hot Wheels Electric 286cm Race Track Set. This manual provides important information for the safe and proper assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new race track. Please read it thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference.

This 1:43 scale Hot Wheels Race Set features a total track length of 286 cm (approximately 9.3 feet), offering an exciting racing experience for children aged 5 and above. The set includes a race track, two Hot Wheels vehicles, and two hand controllers, allowing for competitive head-to-head racing.

2. Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the product:

  • Age Recommendation: This product is suitable for children aged 5 years and older. Adult supervision is recommended, especially during assembly and initial use.
  • Battery Safety: The race track requires 6 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included).
    • Do not mix old and new batteries.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1. Track Assembly

  1. Unpack all track pieces from the box.
  2. Identify the main start/finish line section, which also houses the battery compartment.
  3. Carefully connect the track pieces by aligning the connectors and pressing them firmly together until they click into place. Refer to the diagram on the packaging for the correct track layout.
  4. Ensure all connections are secure and the track forms a continuous, stable loop.
  5. Place the assembled track on a flat, level surface. The total track length is 286 cm.

4.2. Battery Installation

The race track requires 6 x 1.5V AA batteries to power the track and cars.

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the start/finish line section of the track.
  2. Using a Phillips head screwdriver (not included), unscrew the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert 6 x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure it with the screw.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Connecting Controllers and Cars

  1. Plug the two hand controllers into the designated ports on the start/finish line section of the track.
  2. Place one Hot Wheels race car onto each lane of the track, ensuring the guide pin on the bottom of the car aligns with the slot in the track.

5.2. Starting a Race

  1. Ensure the track is fully assembled and batteries are installed.
  2. Each player takes one hand controller.
  3. To make your car move, gently press the trigger on your hand controller. The harder you press, the faster your car will go.
  4. Release the trigger to slow down or stop the car.
  5. Race against your opponent to see who can complete the most laps or cross the finish line first!

5.3. Racing Tips

  • Cornering: Reduce speed slightly when entering corners to prevent cars from flying off the track.
  • Acceleration: Accelerate smoothly on straight sections for maximum speed.
  • Fair Play: Encourage friendly competition and good sportsmanship.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning:
    • Wipe the track and cars with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
    • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
    • Ensure the track slots are clear of obstructions for smooth car movement.
  • Storage:
    • When not in use, disassemble the track and store all components in the original packaging or a suitable container to prevent damage.
    • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
    • Remove batteries from the track if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.
