5.1 Ignition

  1. Place appropriate cookware on the pan support over the desired burner.

  3. The piezo ignition will spark, igniting the gas. Hold the knob down for a few seconds to allow the thermocouple to heat up and activate the safety shut-off.
  4. If the flame does not ignite, release the knob and repeat the process. If using a gas lighter, ignite the gas manually while turning the knob.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your gas hob.

  • Daily Cleaning: After each use, allow the hob to cool completely. Wipe the glass-ceramic surface with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can scratch the surface.
  • Pan Supports: The enameled pan supports are removable for easy cleaning. Wash them with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly before placing them back on the hob.
  • Burner Caps and Rings: Periodically remove the burner caps and rings. Clean them with warm soapy water, ensuring all food debris is removed. Dry completely before reassembling. Ensure the burner ports are not clogged.
  • Spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent them from baking onto the surface, which can make them harder to remove later.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Arebos gas hob, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Burner Not Igniting: Check if the gas supply is on. Ensure the control knob is pushed down fully and held for a few seconds during ignition. Clean the burner caps and rings to ensure no debris is blocking the gas flow or spark.
  • Flame is Irregular or Too Small/Large: Ensure the burner caps and rings are correctly seated. Check for any blockages in the burner ports. If the flame is consistently too large after professional installation, it might indicate an incorrect nozzle for the gas type; contact a professional.
  • Gas Odor: If you smell gas, immediately turn off the gas supply to the appliance and open windows for ventilation. Do not operate any electrical switches or appliances. Contact a qualified gas technician or your gas supplier immediately.

For issues not covered here or if problems persist, please contact a qualified service technician or the manufacturer's support.
