Setup Instructions

1. Connecting to Air Supply:

  1. Ensure the air compressor is off and the air hose is depressurized.
  2. Connect a 1/4" NPT air fitting to the tool's air inlet.
  3. Connect the air hose from the compressor to the tool's air fitting.
  4. Set the air compressor's operating pressure between 70 - 120 PSI (4.8 - 8.3 bar). Do not exceed 120 PSI.
  5. Check all connections for air leaks.

2. Loading Fasteners:

  1. WARNING: Disconnect the tool from the air supply before loading fasteners.
  2. Pull back the magazine follower until it locks in the open position.
  3. Insert a strip of 15-gauge 34° angled finish nails (1" - 2" length) into the magazine. Ensure the nails are correctly oriented.
  4. Release the magazine follower, allowing it to push the nails forward.
  5. Reconnect the tool to the air supply.

3. Adjusting Depth-of-Drive:

The tool features a tool-free depth-of-drive adjustment. Rotate the depth adjustment wheel located near the nose of the tool to achieve the desired fastener depth. Test on a scrap piece of material to ensure proper setting.

Operating Instructions

1. General Operation:

  1. Ensure all safety precautions are followed.
  2. Connect the tool to the air supply and load fasteners.
  3. Place the nose of the tool firmly against the workpiece where the fastener is to be driven.
  4. Depress the trigger to drive a fastener. The FinishPro30XP uses a sequential trigger, requiring the nose to be depressed against the workpiece before the trigger can be pulled.
  5. Lift the tool from the workpiece after each fastener is driven.

2. Clearing Fastener Jams (EZ-Clear Latch):

  1. WARNING: Disconnect the tool from the air supply immediately.
  2. Locate the EZ-Clear Latch mechanism near the nose of the tool.
  3. Open the latch to expose the jammed fastener.
  4. Carefully remove the jammed fastener using pliers if necessary.
  5. Close the EZ-Clear Latch securely.
  6. Reconnect the tool to the air supply and resume operation.

  • WARNING: Always disconnect the tool from the air supply before performing any maintenance.
  • Never-Lube Design: This tool features a "Never-Lube" design and does not require oiling. Do not introduce oil into the air inlet, as this can damage the tool.
  • Cleaning: Keep the tool clean and free of debris. Wipe down the exterior with a clean, dry cloth. Periodically clean the magazine and nose area to prevent fastener jams.
