5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for proper installation of your video intercom system. It is recommended to test the system with the original cables before permanent installation.
- Mounting: Choose appropriate locations for the outdoor camera and indoor monitors. The outdoor unit comes with a rain cover for protection. Both units are designed for surface mounting.
- Wiring:
- Connect the outdoor unit to the indoor monitor(s) using the provided 4-core connection cables.
- For longer distances, RVV4 wire or CAT-5 wire can be used to maintain clear and stable signal transmission.
- Connect any electric lock using the 2-core connection cable to the appropriate terminals on the indoor monitor.
- Power Connection:
- Connect the power adapter to the indoor unit.
- Important: Do not connect the power adapter directly to the outdoor unit, as this may cause damage. The power supply control unit should also be integrated into the system wiring as per the diagram.
- Initial Testing: Before final installation, connect all components using the original cables. Keep the indoor and outdoor units at a sufficient distance during testing to avoid feedback or noise.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No image or distorted image on indoor monitor. | Loose or incorrect wiring connection. Insufficient power. Damaged cable. | Check all 4-core video and power connections. Ensure power adapter is securely connected to the indoor unit. Test with original cables if possible. |
| No audio or poor audio quality (noise/feedback). | Loose or incorrect audio wiring. Indoor and outdoor units too close during testing. Volume settings too low. | Verify 4-core audio connections. Ensure units are not too close during testing. Adjust intercom volume on the indoor monitor. |
| Door lock not unlocking. | Incorrect 2-core lock wiring. Electric lock malfunction. Incorrect password or unregistered RFID keyfob. | Check 2-core lock wiring. Ensure the electric lock is functional independently. Verify password entry and RFID keyfob registration. |
| Night vision not working. | IR LEDs are not activating. | Ensure sufficient power supply. The IR LEDs should automatically activate in low light conditions. |
| System does not power on. | Power adapter not connected or faulty. Power outlet issue. | Check power adapter connection to indoor unit and wall outlet. Test the outlet with another device. |
