Operation
The Relaxdays Stainless Steel Outdoor Stair Handrail is designed to provide stable support and enhance safety when ascending or descending stairs or ramps. Once properly installed, the handrail requires no specific operational steps. Simply grasp the handrail for support as needed.
Ensure that all mounting points remain secure and that the handrail does not wobble or show signs of instability during use.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your stainless steel handrail, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Cleaning: Clean the stainless steel surfaces regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can scratch the brushed finish.
- Rust Prevention: Although made of stainless steel, prolonged exposure to harsh environmental conditions or certain chemicals can lead to surface discoloration or "tea staining." Wipe down the handrail after rain or exposure to moisture to prevent water spots.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect all mounting points, screws, and joints for tightness. Re-tighten any loose fasteners to maintain stability and safety.
- Damage: In case of damage to the handrail or its components, contact the manufacturer or a qualified professional for repair or replacement.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

| Handrail feels wobbly or loose. | Mounting hardware is loose or anchors are not fully secured. | Check and re-tighten all screws and bolts. Ensure anchors are properly installed in a solid surface. If the surface is compromised, professional assistance may be required. |
| Surface rust or discoloration appears on stainless steel. | Exposure to harsh chemicals, salt, or prolonged moisture; improper cleaning. | Clean the affected area with a stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth. Ensure regular drying after exposure to moisture. Avoid using abrasive materials. |
| Difficulty adjusting the angle of the handrail. | Joint mechanism is too tight or obstructed. | Loosen the adjustment screws slightly. Ensure no debris is obstructing the joint. Adjust carefully and re-tighten. |
