Setup

Follow these steps to set up your pressure washer for first use:

  1. Assemble the Unit: Attach the wheels and handle if they are not pre-assembled.
  2. Connect the High-Pressure Hose: Securely connect the 6-meter high-pressure hose to the pressure washer outlet and to the gun. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  3. Attach the Lance and Nozzle: Connect the lance to the gun, then select and attach the desired nozzle (rotary or adjustable) to the lance.
  4. Water Supply Connection:
    • Connect a standard garden hose (not included) to a water tap.
    • Connect the other end of the garden hose to the water inlet of the pressure washer. The water inlet features an inspectable filter to retain impurities.
    • Ensure the water tap is fully open.
  5. Self-Priming Function (if applicable): The SXPW18E is equipped with a self-priming function, allowing it to draw water from a tank if a direct water supply connection is not possible. Ensure the tank is placed at a suitable height and the hose is properly submerged.

Operating Instructions

Before starting, ensure all connections are secure and the water supply is open.

  1. Turn On: Rotate the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. The pressure washer will immediately be ready for use.
  2. Release Air: Before applying pressure, squeeze the trigger on the gun to allow air to escape from the system until a steady stream of water emerges.
  3. Start Cleaning: Direct the nozzle towards the surface to be cleaned, maintaining a safe distance. Squeeze the trigger to activate the high-pressure jet.
  4. Adjusting the Jet: If using the adjustable jet nozzle, rotate the nozzle head to switch between a powerful cylindrical jet and a wider, more delicate fan spray.
  5. Using the Foam Kit: Attach the 0.4 L foam kit to the gun. Fill it with appropriate detergent. The foam kit will mix detergent with water to create a foam for cleaning.
  6. Stopping Operation: Release the trigger on the gun. The motor will stop. For longer pauses, turn the ON/OFF switch to "OFF".
  7. Shutting Down:
    • Turn the ON/OFF switch to "OFF".
    • Turn off the water supply tap.
    • Squeeze the trigger on the gun to release any remaining pressure in the system.
    • Disconnect the power plug from the outlet.
    • Disconnect the water supply hose.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer.

  • Cleaning the Water Inlet Filter: Regularly inspect and clean the water inlet filter to prevent impurities from entering the pump. Remove the filter, rinse it under running water, and reinsert it.
  • Nozzle Cleaning: If the spray pattern becomes irregular or pressure drops, the nozzle may be clogged. Use the provided nozzle cleaning tool (if included) or a thin wire to clear any obstructions.
  • Storage:
    • Before storing, drain all water from the pump, hose, and accessories to prevent freezing damage.
    • The static hose reel with a locking system allows for easy and tidy storage of the high-pressure hose in its dedicated compartment.
    • Store the pressure washer and accessories in a dry, frost-free location.
    • The integrated accessory compartment facilitates the storage of supplied items after use.
  • Winter Storage: In cold climates, use a pump protector or antifreeze solution to prevent damage from freezing.
