2. Safety Instructions

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Placement
- Carefully remove the lathe from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport if needed.
- Place the lathe on a sturdy, level workbench capable of supporting its weight (approximately 48 kg gross, 40 kg net).
- Ensure adequate clearance around the machine for safe operation and maintenance.

- Automatic Longitudinal Feed: Engage the lead screw for automatic longitudinal turning.
- Thread Cutting: The lathe supports metric threads from 0.5 to 2.5 mm/r. Use the standard included metal change gears to set the desired thread pitch. Refer to the machine's gear chart for specific configurations.
- Cross Slide and Compound Slide: Use the handwheels for manual control of the cross-feed (70 mm travel) and compound slide (70 mm travel). The tailstock can be offset for taper turning.
