  1. Ensure the alarm switch is in the OFF position before mounting.
  2. Clean the surface where you intend to install the alarm and magnet sensor. The surface must be dry and free of dust or grease for optimal adhesive performance.
  3. Peel off the protective layer from the double-sided adhesive tape on the back of both the main alarm unit and the magnetic sensor.
  4. Attach the main alarm unit to the fixed frame of your window or door.
  5. Attach the magnetic sensor to the moving part of the window or door, directly adjacent to the main alarm unit.
  6. Crucially, ensure the gap between the main alarm unit and the magnetic sensor is less than 8mm when the window or door is closed. Proper alignment and close proximity are essential for the alarm to function correctly.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

When the low battery indication light flashes red, it is time to replace the batteries. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup for detailed steps. Always use three (3) new LR44 batteries for each alarm unit.

Cleaning

Wipe the alarm unit and magnetic sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive materials, or solvents, as these can damage the device.

Troubleshooting

  • Alarm not sounding when door/window opens:
    • Ensure the alarm switch is in the ON position.
    • Check the battery level. If the low battery indicator is flashing, replace the batteries.
    • Verify that the magnetic sensor is aligned correctly with the main unit and the gap is less than 8mm when the door/window is closed.
  • Alarm sounds intermittently or falsely:
    • Re-check the alignment and gap between the main unit and the magnetic sensor. Ensure they are securely mounted and do not shift.
    • Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly and are not loose.
    • Check for any vibrations or movements that might cause the sensor to momentarily separate.
