6. Maintenance

6.1 General Cleaning

The stainless steel exterior can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild detergent. For the touch panel, a quick wipe down is sufficient to keep it clean.

6.2 Self-Cleaning System Maintenance

As described in Section 5.4, utilize the self-cleaning function regularly. Ensure the water reservoir is refilled as needed. The black thermoplastic insert for the waste water container should be set in a bit loose; do not overtighten the screws during installation or reassembly, as this may cause cracks over time due to thermal expansion.

6.3 Halogen Bulb Replacement

Halogen bulbs may require replacement over time. To replace a bulb:

  1. Ensure the range hood is turned off and cooled down.
  2. Gently pry out the ring-like holder or bulb cover using a thin tool like a knife. Be careful not to scratch the stainless steel surface.
  3. Carefully remove the old bulb.
  4. Insert the new G4 12V 20W Halogen Bulb (JC Type Bi-Pin Light).
  5. Line up the cover with the tabs to the holes and press to reset.
  6. Test the light before fully securing the cover.
