2. Product Overview

2.1 Camera Components

The SJCAM SJ7 STAR features a durable metal body and a 2-inch touch screen for intuitive control. Key components include the lens, power/mode button, shutter/OK button, setting/Wi-Fi button, LED indicators, speaker, Micro HDMI port, Mini-USB port, and MicroSD slot.

2.2 User Interface

The 2-inch touch screen allows for easy navigation through various modes and settings. The main interface typically displays options for Video, Video Lapse, Slow Rec, Still, Photo Lapse, and Burst modes.

3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation and Charging

1. Open the battery door located at the bottom of the camera.
2. Insert the 1000mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Close the battery door securely.
4. To charge, connect the camera to a USB power source using the provided USB cable. The charge indicator LED will illuminate during charging.

3.2 MicroSD Card Installation

1. Locate the MicroSD slot on the side of the camera.
2. Insert a compatible MicroSD card (Class 10 or higher, up to 128GB recommended) into the slot until it clicks into place.
3. To remove, gently push the card until it springs out.

3.3 Waterproof Housing

The camera comes with a waterproof housing, allowing for underwater use up to 30 meters. Ensure the housing is properly sealed before submerging the camera. The housing also protects the camera from dust and impacts.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

• To power on, press and hold the Power/Mode button for a few seconds.
• To power off, press and hold the Power/Mode button again until the camera shuts down.
