Before beginning installation, ensure your workspace is clean, well-lit, and static-free. It is recommended to use an anti-static wrist strap.
3.1 Component Installation Order
- CPU Installation: Carefully align the AMD Ryzen processor with the AM4 socket on the motherboard. Ensure the triangle on the CPU matches the triangle on the socket. Lower the CPU gently into the socket and secure it with the retention lever.
- CPU Cooler Installation: Install the appropriate CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions. Apply thermal paste if not pre-applied.
- RAM Installation: Open the clips on the DDR4 DIMM slots. Align the memory modules with the key notch in the slot and press firmly until the clips snap into place. For dual-channel operation, refer to the motherboard manual for specific slot pairing.
- Motherboard Mounting: Install the I/O shield into your PC case. Carefully place the motherboard into the case, aligning it with the standoffs. Secure the motherboard with screws.
- Graphics Card (GPU) Installation: Insert your graphics card into the primary PCIe x16 slot. Ensure it is fully seated and secure it with the case's retention mechanism.
- Storage Device Installation: Connect SATA data cables from your storage drives (HDDs/SSDs) to the SATA ports on the motherboard. Connect power cables from your power supply to the drives.
- Power Supply Connections: Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector and the 8-pin (or 4-pin) CPU power connector from your power supply to the corresponding ports on the motherboard. Connect power to the graphics card if required.
- Front Panel Connections: Connect the front panel headers (power button, reset button, USB ports, audio jacks, LED indicators) from your PC case to the corresponding pins on the motherboard. Refer to the motherboard's detailed manual for pinout diagrams.
