    1. Touch the keypad with your palm to activate it.
    2. Enter your registered PIN code.
    3. Press the [#] button. The lock will unlock.

Imaginary Number Function: To prevent PIN exposure, you can enter random numbers before or after your actual PIN code. For example, if your PIN is 1234, you can enter 5678 + 1234 + 9012 + #.

  • Using Fingerprint Scan:
    1. Place your registered finger on the fingerprint scanner.
    2. Hold until the lock verifies your fingerprint. The lock will unlock.
  • Using Emergency Key:

In case of electronic malfunction or dead batteries, use the physical emergency key (if provided) to manually unlock the door. Refer to the lock's exterior for the keyhole location.

4.2. Locking the Door

  • Automatic Locking: The lock will automatically engage after a few seconds once the door is closed.
  • Manual Locking (Exterior): Touch the keypad with your palm or press the [Lock] button (if available) on the exterior unit.
  • Manual Locking (Interior - Double Lock): Press the [Close] button on the interior unit or use the manual thumb-turn. This activates the double lock function, preventing entry from the outside even with a valid PIN or fingerprint.

4.3. Voice Guidance

The GATEMAN Z10-IH provides voice prompts for various operations, guiding you through setup and daily use. Volume can typically be adjusted via a button on the interior unit.

If the door is forced open or an unauthorized attempt to tamper with the lock occurs, the intrusion alarm will activate, emitting a loud siren.

The lock is equipped with a temperature sensor. If the indoor temperature exceeds a certain threshold, the fire detection alarm will sound, and the lock may automatically unlock to facilitate emergency exit.

5.3. Emergency Power Supply

If the batteries are completely drained, you can power the lock temporarily using a 9V battery. Connect the 9V battery to the emergency power terminals located on the exterior unit (usually two small metal contacts) while entering your PIN code.

When the low battery indicator or voice prompt signals low power, replace all four (4) AA alkaline batteries immediately. Using old or mixed battery types can affect performance.
